Approach is proud to announce the appointment of two new members to our Board of Directors: Frank Staut and Professor Bart Preneel. They will join long-term members Michel Akkermans, Executive Chairman, and David Vanderoost, CEO of Approach, as independent directors.
New Board Members profiles:
- Frank Staut – currently managing partner at InvestLink, an independent investment company – co-founded SecureLink (sold to Orange in 2019) and held the position of CTO for over a decade.During the course of his career, Frank acquired relevant knowledge of the cyber security industry and a strategic mindset that will benefit Approach today. He will provide invaluable insights in the development and acceleration of our Managed Security Services.
- Professor Bart Preneel – nominated IT Person of the Year 2021 by Computable – is a professor in cryptography, information security and privacy at KU Leuven. In addition to his role as an educator, he also heads the COSIC Research group at the university.With a strong background in academia, Bart will provide input to strengthen our commitment to educate future generations of cyber security experts and reinforce our relations with the research community.
With their robust cyber security and data privacy backgrounds, they will both bring their unique expertise and skillset to support Approach’s growth and continued development.
